- Pickles Altimore is an 11-year-old Miniature Dachshund who has been attending Doggy Daycare
and Spa with her big brother Punchy on Fridays since September 2016.
- While Pickles benefits from coming to daycare by playing with other dogs and socializing
outside of her home setting, her parents benefit from the peace and quiet as a result of Pickles’
exhaustion after a full day at Doggy Daycare and Spa. Her family is assured that Pickles is
happy and well cared for, and they can relax while Pickles is having fun.
- Pickles was adopted from the St. Joseph Humane Society in Indiana. She and her 2 previous
siblings were in need of a new home after their human father passed away. Her 2 siblings
were adopted right away, but Pickles’ was unable to be adopted right away because she
needed dental surgery. While this may seem like a sad store, it has a happy ending because
when her new Mom heard about her, she knew she would be the perfect addition to their
- After she was adopted by the Altimore family, Pickles had the remainder of her teeth removed
because of decay and pain. While this has made Pickles a healthier dog, it also gave her a
unique look! Because there are no teeth to keep her tongue in place, Pickles’ tongue always
hangs out the side of her mouth. Her family members take great fun in teasing Pickles about
her smile, but her Mom thinks she is adorable… and so do we!
